1.1This website is operated by PARSON S.R.L., registration number J2022000815329, tax ID (CUI) 46014713, registered address Sibiu, Cal. Surii Mici FN, bl. R1, ap. 40, phone +40 750 212 964, email [email protected] (“Waypoint”, “we”, “us”). References to “you” or the “passenger” mean anyone who books, travels on, or otherwise uses a Waypoint transfer.

1.2We may update these Terms at any time to reflect changes to our routes, pricing or operations. The version in force is the one published on this page at the time of your booking.

2.1“Drop-off” is the transfer that takes you to your trail start (or destination) — the beginning of your trip with us. “Pick-up” is the transfer that collects you afterward, from the same point or a different one, usually on a later date. Booking both together is what we call a round trip — see clause 2.7 for the discount.

2.2Bookings are made through WhatsApp, email or our booking form. You're responsible for giving us accurate information — full name, phone number (with country code), pickup point, and date and time of travel. Incorrect details can mean a missed pickup, and we can't be held responsible for a transfer missed because of information you gave us incorrectly.

2.3A booking is only confirmed once we've replied to confirm it — an initial message isn't a confirmed booking.

2.4A minimum 50% deposit secures your booking. The remaining balance is paid before departure — Romanian law requires payment for this type of transport (regim de închiriere) to be settled before the trip starts. We reserve the right to release a time slot that hasn't been confirmed with a deposit.

2.5Trail transfer prices cover up to 3 passengers. A 4th passenger (only if their luggage fits) adds a 15% surcharge to the listed price.

2.6Shuttle transfers are priced per person, with a minimum charge per vehicle. Night transfers (23:00–06:00) and weekend transfers (Saturday–Sunday) each add a 10% surcharge.

2.7Booking a round trip unlocks a discount on the return leg. For trail transfers: 30% off when drop-off and pick-up are the exact same point, or 15% off when the finish point is different. For shuttles: 15% off the return leg, same route.

2.8Booking 14+ days in advance qualifies for a 10% early bird discount.

3.1Cancel with 48 hours' notice or more and your deposit is refunded in full. Cancellations inside 48 hours aren't refundable, except where we're the ones cancelling (see 4.2).

3.2Need to change your pickup time, date or drop-off point? Let us know as early as you can — we'll do our best to accommodate it, but changes aren't guaranteed, especially close to the travel date.

3.3Booking a round trip (drop-off and pick-up together, pick-up within 30 days of drop-off) locks in a discount on the pick-up leg from the start — see clause 2.7 for the rate. Only booked the drop-off? You can still add a discounted pick-up afterward, within 10 days of the drop-off. Cancel the pick-up and keep the drop-off — no issue, the drop-off was always full price. Cancel the drop-off and keep the pick-up — the pick-up reverts to full price, since it's no longer part of a round trip.

3.4The 14-day right of withdrawal that applies to most distance contracts under Romanian and EU consumer law doesn't apply to passenger transport services (OUG 34/2014, art. 3 alin. (3) lit. j). The cancellation terms in this section apply instead.

4.1Mountain roads are weather-dependent. The Transfăgărășan closes seasonally, and forest roads can become impassable after heavy rain or snow. If conditions make a route unsafe, we'll contact you to reschedule or agree an alternative drop-off — your safety comes first, every time.

4.2If we cancel your transfer because of weather or road conditions, you get a full deposit refund.

4.3We aren't responsible for delays caused by traffic, roadworks, border or police checks, or weather. For airport pickups, we track your flight and adjust the pickup time accordingly.

4.4If the vehicle breaks down during your transfer, we'll get you to a safe waiting point and do our best to arrange onward transport (a taxi or another licensed driver) at our cost. If we can't arrange a suitable alternative, you'll be refunded for the part of the journey not completed.

5.1It's your responsibility to carry any documents you need for your trip — ID, medical certificates, permits for restricted areas, etc.

5.2Seatbelts must be worn at all times where fitted, as required by law.

5.3We can refuse to carry, or end a transfer early for, a passenger who is visibly intoxicated, damages or deliberately soils the vehicle, or interferes with the driver. In these cases the fare already paid is non-refundable.

6.1Our vehicle guarantees 3 passengers with standard luggage. A 4th passenger is possible only if their luggage still fits — flag this at booking so we can confirm.

6.2We currently don't carry oversized suitcases, ski or snowboard equipment, bicycles, non-foldable pushchairs, or sports equipment bags. See our Shuttles page for the full luggage policy.

7.1You may not bring drugs, weapons or ammunition, explosive or toxic substances, gas or oxygen canisters, or any other item whose transport breaches EU or Romanian law — small camping gas canisters (for camping stoves) are the exception, as long as they're sealed and carried safely.

7.2Small pets can travel in an appropriate, secure carrier, provided they're fit to travel. Let us know when booking so we can plan for it.

8.1Notice anything missing, damaged, or left behind? Tell us as soon as you can after the trip — ideally the same day. We can't act on claims raised significantly later. We aren't liable for items left behind, but we'll do our best to return them if we can.

9.1We carry the insurance required for licensed passenger transport in Romania. Beyond what that insurance covers, we aren't liable for indirect losses (missed flights, connecting bookings, etc.) arising from delays outside our control.

9.2Nothing in these Terms limits our liability where it can't be limited by law.

10.1These Terms are governed by Romanian law. By booking a transfer with us, you accept these Terms in full — if any part of them doesn't work for you, please get in touch before booking rather than after.
